A new entry on the Code and Stuff page – exports iTunes playlists to .M3U equivalents. Handy for XBox 360 owners who use Media Connect but want to manage their custom playlists in iTunes on their PC.
Me, in other words.

It’s a small and petty thing, I know, but I really do wish people would look at the message the ticket barrier displays to them rather than just yanking the ticket out and then standing and staring dumbly at the non-opening barrier for about 30 seconds. Everyone would benefit.
When an ACU PgM has a project demand with a potential ITO request (and vice versa), relevant PM/PgM will contact ITO SPoC PgM, introduce the project/requirements and will ask for ITO engagement.
Everyone got that? Good.

Last week I unplugged the hard drive in my second PC, plugged in a spare one, and installed the beta of Vista Ultimate in order to check out a couple of things. I haven’t used it enough to come to any conclusions about the OS as a whole, and the main thing I wanted to try out didn’t work. Betas and all that. Hey ho.
However. Yesterday evening I disconnected the Vista hard disk and plugged the Windows 2000 drive back in. And the machine refused to boot.
How on earth can the Vista install have hosed a disk that wasn’t even plugged in?
I used to suffer from a near-permanent low-grade cold. These days, most of the time I’m fine but I occasionally get a four-day virus thing which completely knocks me flat.
This is day 3. It is the suck.
I’ve just not been posting. Hopefully this new LJ crossposter plugin will work and then I’ll be a bit more likely to update.
I’ve chucked a new permanent page on the site, Code and Stuff, which will have any neat snippets of code I write and feel like sharing with the world.
First item: Xbox Live gamercard parser in php.
So, anyway, having phoned them and had them tell me that the best that they could do was refund my shipping, I decided that if I was going to have bad customer service I might as well buy from somewhere which did free shipping anyway. I’ve therefore decided that I’m not going to use amazon.co.uk any more.
I sent them an email to this effect, explaining that their poor customer service and evident lack of attention to the emails they were sent played a large part in my decision. You can probably guess what they sent in response.
The right decision, I feel.
